Stoney Ridge Bluegrass Band is an East Bay bluegrass band that plays for parties, weddings and events all over the San Francisco Bay Area. The band was started in early 2010 by a talented group of musicians who has played for several years in various other bluegrass bands in the local San Francisco Bay area. We provide fun, energetic music at reasonable rates for parties, weddings and events.
So while you may not be familiar with our name, you've probably heard most of us play at one venue or another over the past several years.

Bluegrass with a Few Twists Here and There
Our main love is bluegrass music, and we play a broad range of both traditional and contemporary blue grass songs and tunes, from traditional favorites like "Roll in My Sweet Baby's Arms ", J D Crowe's "Old Home Place", Jimmy Martin's "Hold Whatcha Got" and Flatt & Scruggs' "Some Old Day " to contemporary songs like Daily and Vincent's "Cumberland River", "Poor Boy's Delight", "Sin City" and "Hey, Moon".
Our repertoire also includes a few country songs like Merle Haggard's "Mama Tried" and "Swinging Doorw", Johnny Cash's "Folsom Prison Blues", and others. We also offer a sprinkling of traditional and recent gospel songs such as "Will the Circle Be Unbroken" and "Cryin' Holy",
and instrumentals that range from "John Hardy" and "Foggy Mountain Breakdown" to fiddle tune favorites "Cherokee Shuffle", "Boil them Cabbage Down" and "Whiskey Before Breakfast".
Everyone in the band sings, which adds a lot of variety and interest to our performances and insures that we will continually be adding new and fresh material. So give us a call today. We'd love to play for your party or event.
Call or email us if you have any questions
Even if you just want to talk bluegrass, we'd love to hear from you. Email or call. Or stop by the next time we're playing in your area.
